CUTAWAY programmes have been designed to typically reduce mowing by 30–80%. A reduced level of mowing may still be required for aesthetic appearance.
Up to three applications of CUTAWAY may be made per year, with a maximum total application rate of 18 l/ha.
CUTAWAY programmes have been specifically designed for most areas of non-intensive grass management:
Motorway verges
Roadside verges
Airfields
Grassland areas of MoD sites
Non-intensively managed grassland
Flexibility of application rate and timing to match grass growth rates enables CUTAWAY programmes to be created and tailored depending upon the intensity of existing management regime and the desired level of grass height maintenance.
Extensive CUTAWAY trials have been undertaken by the independent STRI (Sports Turf Research Institute), by local authorities and by professional grass management contractors.
Registration trials have proven both the efficacy and the safety of CUTAWAY. Practical trials have developed techniques to achieve the best possible results in practice for improved grass management and reduced costs.
Clipping trials have demonstrated a single CUTAWAY application can reduce grass growth by over 35%. A programme of three sprays applied at 6.0 l/ha across the season can reduce growth by more than 80%.
